Tan Yr Allt, Bangor

Tan Yr Allt is one of the oldest buildings in Bangor, standing for over 250 years.

The grade 2 listed building is owned by the University. We have been refurbishing this building in phases with phase 2 being completed in 2017.

The building has been totally gutted and re-modelled internally and now houses various office space.

Various materials have had to be sourced from all over the UK to keep to its traditional looks.

All windows and door have been hand built locally and kept to its original specification.

All walls have been damp proofed and re-rendered.

New roof work has been done with the original slates reclaimed and re-used.

New fascias, soffits and rainwater goods put in place.

Regular meetings were held with client and designers to assess progress.
Regular health and safety audits were carried out to keep the site compliant and free of accidents/incidents.

Contract was delivered on time and within budget.
