Llawr Y dref, Llangefni for Isle of Anglesey County Council

The contract comprised of a complete conversion of 25 social housing flats within the town centre of Llangefni.

It consisted of remodelling the interiors of the flats, using blockwork and studwork. New kitchens and bathrooms installed with walk in showers to assist the elderly. All flats boarded, plastered and full decoration. New doors, windows and Juliet balconies for 1st floor flats and French doors for downstairs flats. All hallways and communal area were hacked, re-plastered and full décor throughout.

External works included new rainwater goods replaced on new facias and soffits, new pathways, bin store and all grassed areas comprised of 4g artificial grass, new fencing surrounded the flats.

Full décor to the exterior of the building.

Access was an issue with this contract as there was only 1 route in and out. All deliveries were controlled using a banksman to avoid any risk of collision.
This contract was made more challenging as there were some flats still occupied. Working closely with the residents any issues were overcome by keeping any considerably noise related activity to certain times due to 2 residents working night shifts.

Regular health & safety audits were carried out by our in-house health and safety inspector which kept the site compliant and kept on site accidents to zero for this contract.

Regular site meetings were held to keep Principal Designer and Client updated on progress.

Contract completed successfully within the time scale and within budget.
